Bethany Rockwood, Physician Assistant
Bethany Rockwood is a Chattanooga native and has served at WISH for 12 years as a physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University. She is board certified and licensed in the State of Tennessee. She provides care for a wide range of women's health issues, from yearly checkups to IUD insertion to pessary management, biopsies, and menstrual irregularity management.
After earning her Masters, Ms. Rockwood returned to put her skills to work in her hometown. She and her husband are active in sports and their church, and are cycling enthusiasts. She enjoys learning new things every day and the relationships she has developed with her seasoned patients.
Charlotte Smalley, Nurse Practitioner
Charlotte Smalley became an RN in 1975 when she graduated from the UT Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 1979 she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from UTK's College of Nursing with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is licensed as both a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of Tennessee, and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Ms. Smalley joined WISH as a Nurse Practitioner in 1996 and has greatly enjoyed practicing in the field of women's health. Prior to joining WISH, she has worked in a variety of settings, including primary care and public health. She currently serves as adjunct professor with the UTC School of Nursing. She loves Chattanooga and enjoys quilting and international travel with her daughter.
Leigh B. Faerber, Midwife
Leigh is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Her family moved to Anaheim, California when she was a teen. She received her license as a registered nurse in 1976 in Santa Ana, CA. Leigh relocated to the Chattanooga area with her husband and three children. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern College in 1992. After working at Erlanger in obstetrics for 15 years, she completed her Master’s of Science of Nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1996.
Leigh is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She has been with WISH for 17 years.
